The Easiest Way to...

...forget all the explanations, simple answers to home theater questions.

The Easiest
Step-by-Step Instructions and the Easiest Products and Services...

I'm a firm believer that the more you understand about technology (or any subject), the better foundation of knowledge you create. This makes you more confident and able to pick up any new device and find your way. I'll take feeling confident over frustrated any day!

Still, you may just want to get things done...1,2,3...and move on. This section is for those of you who just want to get on with using your home theater or gadget, or want to know how to use your home theater or gadget to get the features you paid for. And you want it to be EASY.

(I have tried these explanations out on a number of people who hate technology, but if anything is less than Easy, please contact me and we'll clarify it for you.)

The Easiest Remote Control Ever!

Yes, even YOU, your technophobe spouse, and your grandmother can understand how to use the Harmony One remote. It is pretty easy to set up (though you may want a little help if YOU are the one who finds remotes hard to understand). And while it isn't exactly cheap...you will be thankful you spent the cash on it! I've NEVER had anyone who complained that they couldn't use it. Now that is amazing! Easiest Way to Get the Best Surround Sound

Find out where to put the speakers in your room. Then find out how to get the best possible surround sound from your home theater speakers!

Most AV receivers, even many of the home-theater-in-a-box surround sound systems, make it easy for you to get the best surround sound for your room, without you having to listen to multiple test signals for each speaker and guess if it sounds right. Getting the right levels means that you feel like you are in the middle of the action. Without "calibrating" for the best sound, you can end up with the speaker blaring into one ear or find that you can't hear the dialogue! Check out how.

Easiest Way to Find a User Manual that You've Lost

No one wants user manuals cluttering your coffee table. So you file them away, and can't find them when you need them. User manuals are available from most manufacturers online, but it can take dozens of clicks to get to right one for your model.

Wirewize (see above) allows you to save your home theater system to a locker. Once you save your system, Wirewize collects the PDFs of all of the specific User Manuals for your model TV and components. No more searching manufacturer websites and tracking down models. With a Wirewize locker, your instructions are at your fingertips anytime. (Even though I've already hooked up my home theaters, I've set up a locker with all the devices in my home theaters --bedroom, living room, etc.--so that I have the manuals available when I need one.)
